I'd have to say that it depends what your goal is. A kcal is a kcal and 1500 will certainly make you lose weight quicker than 2500. Do you realize how much salad it would take to make 2500 calories?!
Now of course if you're more concerned with health, then the salad would come in first over the grease and various types of fats from the fast food anytime.
