Borderline Diabetic

So my Dad was told that he is borderline diabetic. What I am wondering is can he stay this way and never develop full blown Diabetes by medication and watching what he eats? Thanks

A percentage of people never progress to full blown diabetes. Doctors aren't always 100% sure why, but diet and exercise are probably key.

There is no such thing as borderline diabetes just as you cannot be borderline pregnant. If he does not change his eating habits and lifestyle he will progress to medication and perhaps having to shoot insulin into his belly several times per day. Best for him to research diabetes, I presume it will be mellitus at his age, and learn how to stave off the condition. It is very nasty indeed. I have been coping with this for 7 years now.
