My name is Laura and I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes just a few days ago.
My sugars were up to 24. I thought I was in OK shape at 5ft 10" and 185 pounds but I guess not... I ate all of the wrong foods (mainly carbs) like bread, fruits and white pastas. Do you find that you eat a lot more meat and dairy to keep your sugars down?
I have to see all kinds of physicians this week as my sugars are still fluctuating from 10-21 mmol. How long was it before they got you the right dose of medication?
