Everyone who's answered you so far is right, Phil. Please don't worry about whether or not people will "believe you." You need to go past that and if your parents don't believe you, talk to an adult figure you trust (someone mentioned school staff or clergy, those are good ideas.)

If a doctor doesn't "believe you" (although I can't imagine that happening) then go to another doctor.

You have a great jump on recovery already because you want to do something about it.

To answer your question, yes, there are things a doctor can do to help you. Sometimes it's medication and sometimes it's other kinds of therapies, but your doctor will work with you to decide which will help you more. I think it's wonderful that you want to get help and if you get this help, there will be a time again that you'll be waking up and be excited about starting the day like it was in the past.
