Thinking about it, when I was a little girl, I broke out in hives if I ate too many fresh tomatoes. My granny grew the best, and I would take them off the vine, wash it under the outside spigot, and that would be a great hot-weather treat you didn't have to go inside for. But, if I overdid it I got huge hives on the inside of my thighs! I'm glad that doesn't happen anymore, because I still love tomatoes.
