Very good point.
I don't think there's any quick fix out there, but of course people will always spend money to save themselves for having to do anything long term about it, like changing their eating habits. I can't believe they think it's a solution. And even if they worked, unless you want to buy them for the rest of your life, the underlying problems of bad diet and lack of exercise have not been resolved and you'll regain it all again. Same situation, just poorer.
