Default Best Sunscreen for Babies

So do you guys have a favorite or recommendations on sunscreen for babies? I have always liked Water Babies myself.

I always felt the best sunscreen for babies was shade and a hat.

I am cautious about applying too many lotions and potions their skin!

I do apply sun block, but Sage Mother is absolutely right, babies should be kept out of the sun and all children should be well covered when playing in the sunshine.

I would want to make sure that any sunscreen I put on baby's skin is the gentlest formulation possible, so I would probably check out the health section of my store or go online to see what's available, sunscreen-wise. You could start by checking your favourite natural brands to see if they make any. As long as the SPF is strong enough, that's what I'd go with.
As SM says, a hat and something for shading the baby is essential.

I would want to be sure that any sunblock I used was intended for babies and suitable to use on sensitive skin.

I have used water babies for my sun and it seems to work well.

Nivea Baby is also very good and I have had great results. Both of these have given me excellent results.

Anything with spf 50. I'd also suggest a hat, frequent reapplication, etc, just to cover all your bases.

I visit AZ a lot in the Summer and it averages 110 to 120 degrees I have a 4 month old daughter. Have you heard of anything that is a bit stronger but still safe for a baby?

As long as it's over 50 you should be good. Just don't get it in her eyes and reapply every 30 minutes.

Okay. That I can handle, it always makes me nervous with the kids and the sun. As a mother of four you would think I would be a pro by now but I swear each time I forget more than I remember.
